in the community

The Farm Fresh Charitable Foundation is a non-profit 501(c) charity and is made possible through the generous financial support we receive from our Farm Fresh associates, vendor partners, and community fund raising efforts.

Each year, we donate more than $1 million to over 1,500 local non-profit organizations. We feel it is our responsibility to take a leadership role in identifying and helping with community programs.

5th ANNUAL PROM FAIR

We need your gently used special occasion dresses!  From February 1st
thru the 28th, the public is encouraged to donate new or gently used
prom dresses, shoes, handbags and jewelry to benefit high school juniors
and seniors with a financial hardship.  Donations of gently used dresses
that are dry cleaned and less than five years old, along with shoes,
handbags and jewelry will be accepted at select Farm Fresh stores during
normal operating hours. Click here for a list of
participating drop off locations.

The donated items will be sold at Prom Fair 2010 on March 13 and 14 at
Christopher Newport University and March 19-21 at Virginia Wesleyan
College to high school juniors and seniors with a financial hardship. At
the fair, girls will be able to purchase dresses for $5 and accessories
for $1 to $2, depending on the item.  Juniors or seniors in high school
with a valid student ID are welcome to attend, along with one female
guest.  Girls must complete a brief information card before entering the
fair, and will be escorted by a volunteer personal shopper as they
browse through the merchandise.  Gowns and accessories are available on
a first-come first-serve basis.
